In the first stage, we discuss what you want and expect from your new website. I ask a series of questions to determine the purpose, audience, and uses of your website. Features and requirements are agreed upon, but nothing is set in stone because the web is always changing.
Next, I plan the information architecture of the site. This means planning what information goes on which pages, what kind of dynamic pages will be required, and what kind of user interface elements will be used. At this stage I create a Wireframe for your approval before proceeding to step three.
Once we have determined what is going where, I create a graphical mockup of the homepage and other key pages. It is at this point that the specific layout of pages is refined and improved upon. Mockups are sent back and forth until you are happy with the website you will shortly be receiving.
Now it's time for the heavy lifting. I transform the previous mockup into a dynamic, easy to update website with all of the features previously discussed and adhering to the design you have already approved. After the site is developed and thoroughly tested on different browsers, I provide any relevant training or information on how to use the administration portion of the site. Once everything is in place, your new website is launched live.
After your website is launched, users provide valuable insight and any necessary changes and improvements are implemented. I work with you until you are completely happy with the design, features, and use of your website.
